The TRANStech Awards were established to recognise imagination and innovation by those using technology to improve our transport system. They reward excellence and achievement in both established and emerging areas of mobility and transport. The benefits to users and society as a whole at the forefront of the assessment process for winners.
Across many modes, suppliers, system operators, transport agencies and new generation entrepreneurs are investing in rewriting the model for how we travel.
The Awards are organised by Landor LINKS, a leading specialist transport publishing and intelligence organisation, who have brought together a team of experts from various sectors to deliver 2nd annual awards.
The winners of the inaugural TRANStech Awards were revealedat the glittering ceremony held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on Friday 1 November 2019.
Winners of the 2019 TRANStech awards, sponsored by Karhoo, WSP, Innovate UK and CoMoUK, recognised the use of technology to improve transport, were selected from over 130 entries and ranged from household names like Ford, Mercedes-Benz and Uber to local authorities and new technology start-ups.
While most famous for his acting role as Kryten in the BBC’s long-running series Red Dwarf, Robert Llewellyn was the ideal guest star for the Award ceremony, given his involvement in the 'Fully Charged' YouTube channel and authorship of the “News from” science fiction trilogy, which explores a range of possible futures for the world, that technology could enable.
