The Local Sustainable Transport Fund is over £1bn (inc. match funding) to deliver sustainable transport initiatives in 96 projects nationally. The aim of the fund is to help build strong local economies and address the urgent challenges of climate change through providing sustainable transport solutions that support economic growth while reducing carbon.
Projects are funded from 2011/12 until 2015, meaning that this year's conference is held at the mid-point of the LSTF programme.
The conference format includes 'round-table discussion forums, workshops, panel discussions, case study and key-note presentations taking place over the two days.
Delegates will have the opportunity to learn lessons from the early projects already underway, for those planned for implementation in 2014/15.

The event follows the sell-out 'Rebooting Smarter Travel' held in Bristol, where almost 400 delegates attended, this year we have moved to Manchester Town Hall where the capacity is 450 delegates.
Early booking is however recommended.
