Today, with its global reach, the company continues this distinguished tradition as it focuses on delivering many of the large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects that are being developed throughout the region

With a team of more than 4,200 professionals in the Gulf Region, the company covers a broad industry focus including buildings, transportation, infrastructure, water and urban developments. Our project teams of locally-based professionals are backed by AECOM’s global resources. Together we offer clients the advantage of international multi-disciplinary project collaboration.

The Middle East Transport Modelling team is part of a wider community of experts across AECOM’s global business. This ensures our clients not only get access to a team of advisors who understand local requirements and development drivers in the region but also to our wider community of international experts with experience of delivering transportation modelling work across the globe. Clients can be certain they are benefitting from best practice delivery that is applied in the context of the local market and their specific regional requirements.

Our project portfolio includes highway and public demand forecasting studies and economic assessments, master planning studies, micro-simulation and pedestrian crowd modelling and evacuation planning for stations and stadia. We have also helped develop rail-based strategies and road schemes of all scales, from local junctions and access design schemes to national and city-wide transport plans.

Citilabs - Stand 4

Citilabs’ products and services provide the backbone of operational and predictive transportation systems in more than 2,500 locations in the world. These systems are used by governments to operate and plan their multimodal transportation systems, by private enterprise to locate and optimize their businesses, and by universities to design and test innovative transportation solutions.

Legion - Stand 8

Legion is a Software Development company focused on understanding how people interact with infrastructure. Users find on Legion the same common ground, the focus on their final clients, being them passengers, pedestrians or fans attending to major events. Our software accurately simulates and analyses the step-by-step movement of pedestrians across all kinds of public facilities, such as:

TSS - Transport Simulation Systems

 Stand 10

TSS-Transport Simulation Systems (TSS) has a singular focus on algorithms, software and operational know-how for mobility applications in strategic transport planning, traffic engineering and mobility management.

TSS develops, markets and supports the Aimsun traffic modelling software environment, which integrates travel demand modelling, macroscopic functionalities and the mesoscopic-microscopic hybrid simulator – all in a single software application.

TSS also develops and markets Aimsun Online, the real-time decision support system for traffic management. Its dynamic, high-speed simulation of large areas allows traffic operators to accurately forecast the future network flow patterns that will result from a particular traffic management or information provision strategy.

Now with offices in Barcelona, London, New York City, Portland OR, Paris and Sydney, TSS services over 4,000 licensed users in 75 countries. Aimsun licensees include government agencies such as FHWA, NYCDOT, NYSDOT and SANDAG in the USA; Transport and Main Roads Queensland and Transport for NSW in Australia; the Expressway Authority of Thailand, and the Mairie de Paris in France.

Leading consultancies such as AECOM, Arup, GTA, Parsons and RHDHV use Aimsun to deliver consultancy services, while academic users and research partners include the Universities of Minnesota and California, Berkeley and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA; Keio, Japan; Southampton, Leeds and Newcastle in the UK, and Queensland, Australia.
