As Project Manager, Nick was responsible for the definition, procurement and delivery of London’s Cycle Hire Scheme in 2010.  In 2011 Nick took on the role of General Manager with responsibility for the operation and expansion of the scheme.  The multiple award winning scheme is seen as one of the foremost bike share initiatives in the world and serves over 100km2 of the capital.

David Moores is a highly experienced chartered landscape architect, specialising in streetscape and urban design from outline proposals through to implementation, for both local government and private clients.   David's understanding of urban lighting and traffic engineering informs his streetscape designs which have won numerous major awards in recent years including Walworth Road, Rye Lane, Exhibition Road and Kensington High Street streetscape project winner of Civic Trust Awards.

Giles Semper is a Director of The means, a 14-strong placemaking and place management consultancy specialising in Business Improvement Districts (BIDs). The means currently runs 4 BIDs - in Bankside, Vauxhall (of which Giles is Executive Director), Streatham and Brixton. In all these BIDs, The means have actively promoted cycling for their business members' employees.

Isabelle Clement, an urban handcyclist, is the Director of Wheels for Wellbeing, a charity which fights for cycling equality for disabled people (supporting disabled people to make cycling a reality whilst pushing for a cycling network that is fully inclusive). She is part of the Inclusive Cycling Forum for London.

Joan Valls Fantova

Joan Valls Fantova is responsible for overseeing the successful installation of 93km of segregated cycle lanes within the district of Barcelona. Joan supervised the technical procedures during the development of cycle lane safety, as well as ensuring that the proposed infrastructure was constructed to a high quality, meeting the needs of both the cyclists and road users.

Councillor Lib Peck has been the Leader of Lambeth Council since 2012, and a councillor for the Thornton ward since 2001. She leads a large majority group in Lambeth, with Labour holding 59 out of the 63 available council seats. As Leader of the Council, Lib is responsible for setting the overall political and strategic direction for Lambeth. She is a keen cyclist, using her bike to get around Lambeth most days.

As Transport for London’s Head of Strategy & Outcome Planning, I lead TfL’s strategy and planning of surface transport priorities and projects – with a focus on managing freight and transport demand, planning for bus priority across London, promoting walking, cycling, accessible public transport and improving road safety.  I have worked with TfL since 2006.

Rachel Aldred

Rachel Aldred is a Senior Lecturer in Transport at the University of Westminster, and leads Westminster's MSc in Transport Planning and Management. Cycling is her specialist area. She conducts both qualitative and quantitative research, as well as being involved in academic modelling projects. Recently, she led the ESRC funded 'Modelling on the Move' seminar series, which brought different perspectives together in dialogue on modelling, from public health practitioners and local transport policy-makers to engineers and geographers. At Modelling World her presentation will draw on themes from the seminar series to explore the traditional marginalisation of cycling within modelling. Charlotte spent her early working life in teaching and environmental management in Germany, Italy and Spain.  She then spent 12 years working for the British Medical Association in health policy, communications and international roles. From 2008 to 2012, she worked as Sustainable Transport Advisor for three North London boroughs. She is currently a Senior Transport Planner at Waltham Forest, where she leads on cycling policy.

Richard is a committed advocate of sustainable transport and cycling in particular. He has over 14 years’ experience in town and transport planning and most recently helped Kingston to win up to £35m of funding to enable the development and implementation of its ambitious mini-Holland programme.

Mark Chetwynd has chaired the Board of the Central London Cycling Grid since Spring 2013. He is responsible for transport policy in the Kensington and Chelsea, and has overseen a number of cycling projects in the borough, including two-way cycling on one-way streets – for which the Council received a National Transport Award this year.

Matthew Hill is the Public Realm Programme Manager for Southwark Council.  He has worked for Southwark for 4 years having previous experience in consultancy, with TfL and other London boroughs.  He is a transport planner by background.  His responsibility in Southwark is for all highways capital project delivery including the Council's cycling programme, as well as 'soft' projects including road safety and sustainable travel.

He has been responsible for a number of research studies including into the behavioural responses of different road users on the Cycle Superhighways.
