A4 - 20's Plenty for Us

20's Plenty for Us is a 'not for profit' organisation and now have 400 local campaigns around the country and many of our most iconic cities in the UK have already adopted a 20mph limit for most of their streets.

We quite simply campaign for 20mph to become the default speed limit on residential and urban streets. This can be done on most streets without the need for any physical calming and we accept that on some streets it may be appropriate to have a higher limit based on the road, vulnerable road users provision, etc. But any limit above 20mph should be a considered decision based on local circumstances.

A5 - Rosehill Highways

Rosehill Highways is a market leading manufacturer of surface mounted engineered rubber highways and traffic calming products (www.rosehillhighways.com/products/).  Our innovative products are designed to be quickly and easily fixed directly to the road surface, eliminating expensive excavation and enabling you to achieve significant cost savings, while minimising disruption to traffic flow.

We offer the most complete range of products, including speed cushions, speed calmers, raised tables, traffic islands, pedestrian refuge islands, satellite islands and cycle lane delineators, helping you create low speed roads, low traffic neighbourhoods, segregated cycle lanes and much more.

Manufactured from 100% recycled tyre rubber our products are can be used as part of ongoing maintenance programmes or designed into new schemes.

Come and see us on stand A5 where we’ll be displaying our Cycle Lane Defender and Lane Separator. We’ll show you how quick and easy they are to install and demonstrate the benefits that can be achieved from adopting our products.

B1 - Jenoptik

JENOPTIK Traffic Solutions UK is the company behind SPECS; the most widely used average speed enforcement system available. To date, over 500 SPECS installations have been operated, including a number of 20mph schemes, successfully reducing casualties, collisions and improving traffic flows.

SPECS3 VECTOR is the newest HOTA average speed system, yet it is also the UK’s most widely used, with over 100 permanent sites under contract.  The camera integrates decades of ANPR and enforcement experience into a single sophisticated and compact unit.

Jenoptik designed solutions deliver significant reductions in collisions and casualties, whilst improving traffic flows, capacity and emissions.  By controlling average speed, driver behaviour is modified over a large area or length of road, resulting in safer driving conditions, more reliable journeys and reduced vehicle emissions.

Roads monitored by SPECS typically see a >70% KSI (Killed or Seriously Injured) reduction, when installed as part of a casualty reduction scheme; this on average saves more than £1m in casualty costs, per site, per year. Jenoptik are world leaders in applying this technology to real world solutions.

C4 - Cardiff Council

Cardiff Council strongly supports 20mph limits as a key part of making our city a better place to live. Here in Cardiff we first introduced a pilot 20mph limit scheme in March 2014 and in 2016 we made a commitment to rolling out 20mph limits in residential areas across the city. We have now introduced 20mph limits in many residential areas around the city centre and have a programme for expanding this roll out year on year. We know we have a high level of support from residents for 20mph limits in residential areas and for us they are a key part of making the big changes in our city which we know are needed in how people move around. Indeed communities where it is easy to get around by walking and cycling are good places to live and we have made some important steps towards making it easier for people to choose to travel actively.

C5 - Living Streets

Living Streets is the charity for everyday walking. We have long been a beacon for walking and our heritage stretches back to 1929. Our biggest campaigns have resulted in the zebra crossing and both 20 and 30mph speed limits. Today, our campaigns focus on reversing the decline in primary children walking to school, creating walking cities and making sure that pavements are for people. We work with decision makers at a national and local level to improve streets for walking and our network of Local Groups campaign on issues that matter to them in their areas. Come and chat to us on stand C5 and find out how we can work together to make your streets safer for all.
