The inaugural South West Highway Alliance conference & exhibition "Focus on Highways Funding" takes place on Thursday 14 June at Brunel’s SS Great Britain Museum, Bristol.
Focussing on the funding landscape and delivery options available to Local Highway Authorities, this one day conference promises to deliver an informative and inspiring selection of case studies and perspectives from across the South West. Aimed at senior personnel from the private, public and third sectors, the event aims to foster debate and discussion of the most challenging and topical issues for the highways industry, and promises to provide useful lessons that can be applied elsewhere.
The programme features leading figures from both the private sector and local and national government. Highlights include:
● updates from the DfT on the latest highways funding developments at the national level,
● a review of the role of LEPs in highways funding and infrastructure delivery pipelines,
● a look at innovative ways of funding highway works, and
● emerging delivery models, including Teckal.
The event will bring together over 100 Local Authority practitioners, contractors, suppliers and consultants from across the South West and nationally to share knowledge and experience of best practice.
