Scania GB Scania has a long experience of supplying and operating trucks and buses on all of today’s major biofuels – bioethanol, biodiesel and biogas. Unique amongst vehicle manufacturers, Scania also has a Euro6 gas-powered engine that could match diesel in energy efficiency. Since some years back, Scania gas buses have been in operation in the UK. In combination with a growing production of biogas, this makes it possible for a large-scale introduction of clean, sustainable low carbon bus operation, based on a locally produced biofuel. And this could be achieved on a commercial basis, without any need for major subsidies. |
