The 10th Annual UK & European Rail Stations Conference

1 March 2011
Holiday Inn
King's Cross,
London

The station as a city

The UK Rail Stations Conference's consistently unite the key decision-makers involved in planning and designing the UK's railway stations and interchanges and fitting them into the wider urban context.

Speakers include...

Chris Green, Mike Goggin, Alec McTavish, Anthony Smith

This conference provides the opportunity to focus on stations as a topic in their own right, and for those concerned with them to share knowledge, experience, ideas and best practice.

The morning is led by key industry figures who will be discussing strategic objectives, how to get all the players working together, and the key role of the station within the urban landscape.

The afternoon includes a choice 1 of 4 themed interactive discussion workshops including:

  • Designing the sustainable station
  • The station as a transport hub
  • Intelligent station systems
  • 21st century station design

This is followed by an hour to field questions with the days speaker panel in what is likely to be an engaging and provocative debate.

PTE’s, local authorities and other public bodies with responsibility for transport planning, city centre development and urban regeneration are encouraged to attend.
