Brompton Bike Hire (BBH)Brompton Bike Hire (BBH) operate an interconnected national network of 45 bike hire stations across 20 UK cities, offering a fleet of over 950 Brompton bikes for public hire. The Brompton is a robust, geared, portable folding bike, widely considered the best designed product in its field. Brompton is welcome on all forms of public transport, fits in the car boot & provides fast & independent transport. There is no more efficient integrated city travel solution. BBH docks are funded by Partners (local authorities, corporates, developers etc.) with dock & bikes bespoke branded in the Partner’s choice of livery. BBH cover the operational costs of running the scheme in exchange for retaining the revenue generated; thereby offering Partners a sustainable bike hire scheme at no on-going cost. BBH also produces Brompton Locker, a secure, compact, manual storage solution for Brompton bikes. Locker is key operated, and can be used to store privately owned bikes, or to facilitate pool bike schemes at a reduced cost to the automated dock. Where it is strategically sited, Locker can reduce the space provided for conventional cycle parking. Brompton Locker is accredited by local authorities due to a proven ability to significantly increase daytime cycle activity. Locker comes in three variants, and can be expanded through its modular design. Locker can be provided with an optional LED screen for messaging or advertising in the building foyer or entrance area.
