SPRINGBOARD: Providing footfall and vehicle counting as well as sales collection across the retail portfolio our benchmarking and insights service encompasses high streets, shopping centres and retail parks throughout the UK with a unique data set both in breadth and historic data. Our unrivalled insights and benchmarks are informed by counting the customer journey throughout the retail experience from entering the car park, walking into the centre and around to each individual retailer capture rate and conversion enabling both landlords and tenants to optimise performance. The strength and breadth of Springboard’s benchmarking services has led to strong collaborations with key industry bodies such as BRC, Retail Week, Drapers, Shopping Centre Magazine, IPM and the ATCM as well as widespread take up of our indices and opinion by the national media and Central Government.
IPM: As part of Manchester Metropolitan University the IPM is at the leading edge of research into town and city change. It publishes the Journal of Place Management and Development, a leading peer reviewed journal, subscribed to by over 2000 institutions worldwide. The IPM is open to membership for individual practitioners, academics and policy makers and students. Organisations, place partnerships can also join. The Institute has a special membership for Business Improvement Districts - The BID Foundation, which is leading the development of this important industry.
