De Montfort UniversityThe Faculty of Technology has a broad portfolio of activities that span teaching, knowledge exchange and research. These range from engineering through computing to arts and humanities in three Schools: Engineering and Sustainable Development, Computing Sciences and Informatics, and the Leicester Media School. A driver for research and knowledge exchange is the impact this has on individuals, communities and businesses. Our work on Sustainability has been undertaken with Leicester City Council for many years. An example is "Smart Spaces": helping users of buildings improve the buildings' energy efficiency through a simple dashboard. The potential to engage in knowledge exchange and research activities that can help transform cities is wide and attendees are encouraged to visit the DMU Faculty of Technology stand to discuss how our expertise can work with you to enhance your work on Transforming Cities.
