CycleStreets is based in Cambridge and creates a range of technology relating to cycle planning and advocacy tools. Their main product is a UK-wide cycle journey planner system, which lets cyclists plan routes from A to B by bike. It is designed by cyclists, for cyclists, and gives a choice of routes, ensuring suitability for people cycling of any ability. As well as providing websites and apps on all mobile platforms, CycleStreets cycle routing is available via a range of third-party apps including Citymapper and Bike Hub. CycleStreets also provides routing via its data interface (API) to consultancies such as SDG, mxdata, Traveline Scotland/Cymru and Placr, and has created various portals for public and private sector clients, including TfL, PleaseCycle, Halfords, and Local Authorities around the UK. CycleStreets routing is also being used for the DfT-funded National Propensity to Cycle Tool. The CycleStreets API provides a wide range of facilities, including A-B route planning, circular leisure routing, points of interest, geocoding, complete STATS19 collision data, GPS tracking, a database of 62,000+ cycling advocacy-related photos with rich metadata, and more. Both SLA-supported and non-commercial use is available. |
