Dr Michael Spearpoint is the Research Leader at OFR consultants, having previously held the position of Associate Professor at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. He is a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers and a Chartered Engineer. He has been the contributor to around 190 papers in international journals, conference proceedings and industry publications on a wide range of fire science and engineering topics along with being one of the authors of the new edition of BS PD 7974-1.
