F3 - Haringey Smarter Travel

Haringey Smarter Travel Team is committed to delivering a more sustainable transport system, their aim is to ease congestion; improve the environment’ reduce road causalities and help people become fitter and healthier through a series of change behaviour programmes.

A small dedicated team, that deliver a number of schemes and incentives to encourage schools, residents and local businesses to choose more active mode of transport such as walking, cycling or public transport.

Working with key partners, the Smarter Travel Team are able to offer free cycling training, free bike maintenance workshops, lead on promoting national and international campaigns to increase awareness of key topics, manage the TfL’s STARS accreditation scheme for Haringey, deliver road safety workshops to children and young people and support community groups to deliver targeted activities to increase participation in walking and cycling among hard to reach groups.

The Haringey Smarter Travel Team is supporting the Crouch End Liveable Neighbourhood project to engage with local schools and implement behaviour change incentives.
