Sonal has over 20 years’ experience in the acquisition and management of Transport Infrastructure design, ITS, transport planning, modelling and research projects for clients in the Europe, Africa, Middle East and India. 


Strategic, team project management responsibilities include business development, team management, client management, financial control, research and development, practical application of transport modelling and software development. 


Involved in business development and expansion in the Middle East, Africa and India including training and development of staff and knowledge transfer of the excellence in transport technology in several countries 


He worked on designing several LRT, Metro and Urban Rail systems around the region. Sonal co-ordinates delivery excellence in all transport infrastructure for the MENA region. He is responsible for overseas business development in the Middle East, Africa and India. 


He has delivered research projects involving traffic simulation, road safety and strategic modelling and transport economics. 


He Developed multi-objective optimisation for Traffic Signal Control for Urban networks with a focus on optimising traffic networks for pedestrian and environmental benefits using Evolutionary Algorithms and Fuzzy Logic was his PhD topic at Imperial College London.
