H3 - Nottingham City Council

Nottingham City Council is at the forefront of innovative transport solutions, including the award-winning Workplace Parking Levy – which has helped to reduce congestion and generated funding for major local transport investment.

In addition to expanding our successful tram network, we have transformed Nottingham Station into a 21st Century transport interchange, introduced one the country’s largest all-electric bus fleets, and completed a series of cycling corridor schemes better connecting our city.

Cleaner air is also a priority for us. Alongside our schemes to promote walking and cycling, our Go Ultra Low programme is leading the way in developing public charge point infrastructure and supporting citizens and businesses to make the switch to ultra-low emission vehicles.

We’re looking forward to hosting the Cycle City Conference in 2019, as it’s an exciting time to visit our city. The southern side is undergoing a major regeneration, including an enhanced public realm and new pedestrianised zones. Development in Nottingham’s Creative Quarter is helping to support growth in creative and digital businesses, while at the same time the city’s heritage is being lovingly preserved as a major refurbishment is also under way at Nottingham Castle.
